The User Conference attracted over one hundred attendees of more than 60 companies from 38 countries – a truly international conference! 2009 is an exciting year for Keynote SIGOS since it was 20 years ago that the success story of today’s leading specialist in active End-to-End-testing started with the foundation of what was SIGOS, back in 1989. Needless to say that this years’ International User Conference reflected at least bits and pieces of Keynote SIGOS’s long history, especially through the reflection of Vodafone TOO, Jörg Frankenberger, who gave a refreshing insight into the very start of the successful cooperation between Vodafone and Keynote SIGOS, some eleven years ago.
At the User Conference latest news and developments of the Keynote SIGOS world were discussed: the most recent release of SITE, version 2.2, with its new graphical user interface was introduced to the world-wide audience. Keynote SIGOS experts also presented other latest developments, among them Drive Service Testing, Handset Simulation and Test Case Recorder. The Keynote SIGOS concept for the detection of interconnect fraud bypass (SIM Box Detection), based on GlobalRoamer, was another highlight since it helps Keynote SIGOS customers to save money and improve their end users’ experience at the same time. We also shed a light on how GlobalRoamer top customers utilize the leading global roaming test infrastructure provided by Keynote SIGOS.
The professional audience of experts from mobile and fixed line network operators from all five continents enjoyed not only the presentations given by Keynote SIGOS experts but also the exchange of experience in smaller groups during a workshop part on several relevant topics. Guest speakers from Telefónica Link2One, T-Mobile and Vodafone shared their experience on topics such as Roaming Hubs and Service Area Monitoring. Finally, an outlook to the future of telecommunications was provided first hand by technical expert Jürgen Placht from Sanchar, who is dedicated to the development of LTE – Long Term Evolution.
Attendees’ feedback again was encouraging: “I learnt a lot. It was a value-adding conference. Excellent work!” - “It was a very interesting and very well organized event. I realized interesting testing tools and methodology. Thanks for the wonderful experience.”
The two day conference was filled with topics but there was still the opportunity to see a bit of Nuremberg. Guided tours, social events at historic places and the literal highlight, professional fireworks, rounded up the Keynote SIGOS User Conference.
